Project Architect: Darmody Architecture

Molloy and Associates provided architectural conservation services to Darmody Architects in their refurbishment od the former early twentieth-century substation at the junction of East Wall Rad and Alexandra Road. The original cast iron and jack-vaulted roof structure is exposed with the imaginatively refurbished interiors. During construction, the eighteenth-century sea wall was uncovered below the floor of the substation, which was restored and is now visible through a glazed section of floor.
